CONWAY, ARKANSAS — The Centennial Bank family and the greater Conway community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Greg Sanson, a beloved friend, respected banker, and community leader whose impact reached far beyond banking.
Greg Sanson, who served as Division President for Centennial Bank overseeing the Conway, north central Arkansas and Alabama divisions, was known throughout Arkansas as a leader with integrity, generosity, and a heart for people.
At Centennial Bank, Greg was more than a title. He joined the bank in 2002 and rose through the ranks from chief lending officer to executive vice president and ultimately Division President — a role he held with distinction and humility. He was the kind of leader who gave opportunities to others, who mentored young bankers, and who believed in the hard work of his team. Colleagues remember him as grateful for his staff, supportive of his loan assistants, and deeply committed to the customers and communities Centennial Bank serves.
Outside the bank, Greg’s legacy was felt in every corner of Conway. From supporting local non-profits like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and HAVEN shelter, to celebrating major gifts to Conway Regional Health System, to attending groundbreakings and community events — Greg showed up. He was there. He cared. And he led by example.
At this time, an official cause of death for Greg Sanson has not been publicly released by his family. As his loved ones and the Centennial Bank community navigate this difficult time, the focus has been on honoring the man he was — a beloved friend, a devoted family man, and a community champion.
What made Greg so beloved was not just his professional success, but his personal character. He had a warm smile, a firm handshake, and an ability to make everyone he met feel valued. He was a friend to many, a mentor to countless others, and a pillar of strength for the Centennial Bank family.
In the hours since news of his passing spread, tributes have poured in from bankers, business owners, community leaders, and friends who knew Greg. The common thread in every message: He was good. He was kind. He was respected. And he will be deeply, deeply missed.
Funeral arrangements and memorial service information for Greg Sanson will be announced by his family at a later date. The family has asked for privacy, prayers, and continued support as they prepare to honor his remarkable life.
Our most heartfelt and deepest condolences go out to Greg Sanson’s family, his friends, and the entire Centennial Bank community.
Rest peacefully, Greg. A beloved friend, a respected leader, and a proud part of Centennial Bank’s history — forever remembered in Conway and beyond.
