REDSTONE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The community is mourning the tragic loss of Ronald Hostetler, 62, of Confluence, who was killed in a devastating hit-and-run incident in Redstone Township.
Authorities say Mark DiMatteo, 66, has been charged in connection with the fatal crash, which occurred while Hostetler was loading equipment onto a trailer. Investigators allege that DiMatteo struck Hostetler with his vehicle and then left the scene without stopping to provide assistance or information to authorities.
Following an intensive search involving multiple law enforcement agencies, DiMatteo was apprehended later that same day.
The sudden loss of Hostetler has left family, friends, and members of the community grieving as they remember a life that was tragically cut short.
