Miguel Finch Obituary: 42-Year-Old Hopkinsville Man Dies After Fatal Koffman Drive Shooting

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — The Hopkinsville community is mourning the loss of 42-year-old Miguel Finch, who died after being shot in the chest early in the morning, according to authorities.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Koffman Drive at approximately 2:58 a.m. after receiving reports that a person had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found Finch suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Hopkinsville Fire/EMS personnel immediately began lifesaving efforts as Finch was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Despite those efforts, Finch was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Authorities have identified Finch as a Hopkinsville resident, age 42. His death has left family, friends, and members of the community facing a devastating loss.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and authorities have not released additional information regarding a possible suspect or motive.

The investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives work to determine what led to the fatal shooting.
