FLORENCE, S.C. — The Florence community is mourning the heartbreaking deaths of 39-year-old Darnissa Ford and 36-year-old Leon Ford II, who were found deceased Monday afternoon following a reported shooting on East McIver Road.
According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area after receiving a call about a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered two people deceased.
Investigators are treating the deaths as an apparent murder-suicide, according to authorities. Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken identified the victims as Darnissa Ford, 39, and Leon Ford II, 36.
