Billings West End House Fire Turns Deadly: Multiple Victims, Including Children, Killed in Homicide Investigation

BILLINGS, Mont. — A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken the Billings community after multiple people, including children, were killed in a devastating house fire on White Star Circle during what authorities are investigating as a homicide.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that all parties involved in the incident have been identified and that all are deceased. The announcement came during a press conference as investigators continued working to piece together the events that led to the deadly scene.

According to authorities, police officers and sheriff’s deputies responded Sunday night to the home following reports of an active shooting. When first responders arrived, they heard gunfire coming from inside the residence and saw smoke as the home became fully engulfed in flames.

Officials said the suspected shooter suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
