ABERDEENSHIRE, Scotland — The Aberdeenshire community is mourning the tragic death of a 17-year-old motorcyclist who died following a crash on the B9031 Macduff to Fraserburgh road on Monday evening.
The collision happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. on August 24, 2026, west of the junction for Pennan. Police said the crash involved a black Honda CB500 motorcycle ridden by the teenage boy.
Emergency services responded to the scene, but the 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries were reported.
The road remained closed for approximately six hours while officers carried out their investigation before it was reopened.
Sergeant Peter Henderson of the North East Road Policing Unit expressed condolences to the teenager’s family and friends, saying their thoughts were with those affected by the devastating loss.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who may have seen the incident or has relevant dash-cam footage from the area is being urged to contact Police Scotland.
