XENIA, Ohio — An early-morning shooting in Xenia on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, left an adult man injured and hospitalized as police continue working to determine what led to the incident.
According to the Xenia Police Division, officers responded at approximately 5 a.m. to the 600 block of East Church Street following a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower leg.
Xenia Fire Division medics responded to the scene and transported the injured man to a local hospital for medical treatment. His current condition has not been released.
Detectives with the Xenia Police Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police have identified a juvenile male as a suspect and are actively searching for him.
