COLUMBUS, OHIO — The South Columbus community is mourning the tragic loss of Aaron Williams, a man who was found shot and killed Saturday morning along Lockbourne Road, as police continue investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers were dispatched at approximately 8:51 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, to the 2800 block of Lockbourne Road after receiving a report of an unresponsive person in the area.
When officers arrived, they located Williams suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Emergency responders rushed to provide assistance, but Williams was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 8:55 a.m.
