Randy Abro Obituary: 41-Year-Old Identified as Victim Killed in Sterling Heights Shooting at 15 Mile and Mound; Police Search for Black Toyota 4Runner

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. –
Police have identified the victim in a deadly afternoon shooting outside a Sterling Heights warehouse as a 41-year-old Utica family man.

Randy Kamal Abro, 41, of Utica, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of 15 Mile Road and Mound Road after police were called to the scene just after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Sterling Heights police said Abro was declared dead at the scene.

Who was Randy Abro?
Abro was a resident of Utica. Friends and family described him as a humble, outgoing family man who lived with his wife and children.

“He worked hard,” said his cousin. “We don’t know what’s going on.”

Police have not released additional information about a motive.

2 Suspects Sought, Black Toyota 4Runner Wanted
Sterling Heights police say they are now searching for two suspects and are asking the public for help locating a vehicle of interest.

The vehicle is described as a black 2025 Toyota 4Runner that was caught on surveillance camera leaving the area around the time gunfire was heard.

Law enforcement officials say the SUV is considered a vehicle of great interest in the case.

Police will also be using Flock license plate reader cameras to try to locate the vehicle.

Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or has information about the shooting is asked to contact the Sterling Heights Police Department immediately.

The investigation remains ongoing.
