The Pasay community is mourning the passing of Zeanthy Dioraniel Dela Cruz, a 13-year-old altar server who passed away on the morning of October 7, 2026.
Her passing was announced by the Ministry of Altar Servers at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Pasay, where Zeanthy was part of the altar server family.
At just 13 years old, Zeanthy had already chosen a path of devotion and service. While other children her age spent their weekends at play, she spent hers at the altar — serving the Lord with humility, reverence, and a smile that parishioners will never forget.
Zeanthy was not just a member of the ministry; she was family. To her fellow altar servers, she was a sister. To the priests she assisted, she was a faithful helper. To the parish that watched her grow, she was a shining example of young faith in action.
The Ministry of Altar Servers shared the heartbreaking news with a heavy heart Tuesday morning, asking for prayers for Zeanthy’s eternal repose and for strength for her grieving family.
The cause of death has not yet been made public by her family. What is known is that her young life ended too soon, leaving a void in the pews, at the altar, and in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
