Brian Lee Martin Obituary: Former Luther Fire Chief Remembered for Nearly 14 Years of Dedicated Community Service

LUTHER, Okla. — The Luther community and firefighting family are mourning the heartbreaking loss of former Fire Chief Brian Lee Martin, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 53.

The Luther Volunteer Fire Department announced Brian’s passing with heavy hearts, honoring a man whose life was defined by service, leadership, and a commitment to protecting others.

Brian began his journey with the Luther Volunteer Fire Department on September 1, 1996, joining as a firefighter. Through years of dedication, hard work, and a passion for helping his community, he advanced through the ranks and ultimately became Fire Chief.

After nearly 14 years of service, Brian retired from the department on July 9, 2010, leaving behind a legacy built on courage, teamwork, and devotion to the citizens of Luther.

Throughout his time with the department, Chief Martin answered countless calls, stood beside fellow firefighters, and provided leadership during moments when his community needed him most. His commitment extended beyond the fire station, earning him the respect and appreciation of those he served.

Members of the Luther Volunteer Fire Department, past and present, are remembering Brian as a dedicated firefighter and respected leader whose contributions will never be forgotten.
