WACO, Texas — The Waco community is mourning the tragic loss of Victor Jesus Silva-Delgadillo, 28, who died following a shooting Sunday evening that left another person injured.
According to authorities, officers responded around 5:02 p.m. to the 3600 block of N. 20th Street after reports of a shooting. When first responders arrived, they found Victor and a 19-year-old man suffering from injuries consistent with gunfire.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Victor later died from his injuries. The second victim is expected to recover, authorities said.
The investigation led to the arrests of Brayan Hernandez, 18, and Leonardo Jesús Servin, 20, who have both been charged in connection with the shooting.
As the legal process moves forward, investigators continue working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the deadly incident, including what led up to the violence.
