According to the Hagerstown Police Department, officers were called shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, to the 1700 block of Dual Highway after receiving reports of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a Subaru.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located the motorcycle crash victim, who was later identified as Clayton Hendrix of Smithsburg, Maryland. Despite emergency response efforts, Hendrix was pronounced dead at the scene.
