CONROE, TEXAS — The Conroe community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of George Ramirez, a 19-year-old man from Cut and Shoot who died following a devastating two-vehicle collision Thursday evening on North Loop 336 East.
According to the Conroe Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 6:37 p.m. to the 200 block of North Loop 336 East after receiving reports of a serious crash involving a passenger car and a pickup truck.
When emergency crews arrived, they found a passenger inside the car trapped with severe injuries. Members of the Conroe Fire Department and EMS immediately began providing medical assistance, but despite their efforts, Ramirez sadly did not survive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as George Ramirez, 19, of Cut and Shoot, and said his family was notified following the crash.
Investigators with the Conroe Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit are working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision. Preliminary findings indicate the passenger vehicle was traveling westbound when the driver attempted to change lanes. Police said the vehicle lost control, spun, and crossed into oncoming traffic before being struck by the pickup truck.
Both drivers involved, along with a passenger in the pickup truck, were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officials reported that they were in stable condition.
The District Attorney’s Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to assist with the investigation, which remains ongoing. Police said no additional details are available at this time as investigators continue reviewing evidence from the crash.
